On Wednesday 11th October, the Sustainability Working Group at the MRC (Medical Research Council) Centre for Environment and Health along with WellHome and Breathe London from Imperial College London hosted a free community film screening of Air Quotes!
Originally commissioned to extend a dialogue around net-zero climate policies that researchers in Imperial College London’s School of Public Health are modelling, Air Quotes cuts between a group of inner-city London teens who are regularly exposed to toxic levels of air pollution, and members of a school Eco Committee in Helensburgh, Scotland, to explore young people’s views on climate justice and the uneven impacts of air pollution and ‘net-zero’ climate policies. The evening brought with it lively, thought-provoking discussion between youth members, air pollution activists and Imperial researchers, staff and students.
