Where is the world on its goal to cut deaths from chronic disease by 2030?

A global study led by Professor Majid Ezzati of the MRC Centre, and reported in Times of India, has found that among high-income countries, only a fraction remain on track to meet the goal of reducing mortality for both women and men by one third by 2030. The need for comprehensive measures tailored to national systems, was highlighted as necessary in order to meet the pre-defined targets.
